RARE VINTAGE 1920s COWHIDE & DEERSKIN LEATHER MACBOOK PRO BRIEFCASE BAG R$1498 My bags are the antidote for the poly-lined synthetic leather run-of-the-mill bags being produced in China. Most of my bags are full-grain leather; Artisan craft , with authentic distressed character, and many with modifications unique to our line. We only use high-grade men's belts for shoulder straps. This leather is reminiscent of equestrian leather halter straps. I also use half centimetre thick moose skin. Nothing wimpy here; quality and character that stands out and stands the test of a truly rugged lifestyle. Invest in a bag that you'll love more and more over time. That said, here is my description: --------------- What I love about this wonderful piece of history; imported from England.Amazing English Construction. When I found it I was amazed. It is stamped genuine cowhide but the sides are not cowhide. Cowhide has a tendency to get brittle and crack over long periods of time and this one the sides best resemble deerskin or elkskin in my professional opinion. For those who don't know, deerskin is one of the best leathers for longevity of life as it does not dry or crack; that is why native american used deerskin, elkskin, and mooseskin for moccasins. This bag is pre-owned but has not been abused. The straps are solid and the the buckles seem to be made of stainless steel.The HANDLE - Shows almost no wear and was designed to have a confortable grip. The new owner will immediately be able to tell that it was made by a highly-skilled craftsman; likely long ago passed from this earth. Also something very important for a antique bag like this; the handle is usually the weakest point and one of the first things to break on a bag of this age. For this briefcase they have used a metal on the briefcase end and on the handle end; so there is metal on metal and this means the handle will be able to stand up to everyday use for many years even with everyday use. The back of the clasp is stamped Nov 15, 21; as in 1921. I love the wonderful triple-gusset sections to separate papers from your MacBook or iPad Pro.My hope is that some movie producer will find this to use in their next blockbuster period-piece or that Netflix will find it for a period-piece series. Or some collector will snatch it up to use as their everday case.
